Meet the Kittens

Dr. Tinycat is the curious kitten, sweet and gentle. He's gotten to rubbing my hand and purring when I pet him...love that lil' sweetie. He'll usually poke his head around something first, but Biggie usually plays with everything more.

Yeah, about Biggie (comment on name suggestions, by the way, we need some!)...what a ball of energy. Not a day goes by where he isn't tackling his lil' brother, and of course, little bro has to squeal out about it.

But Biggie doesn't just randomly attack...nooo, he's smarter than that. He only pounces when little Doctor is inside his fun little recycled oatmeal can tube, or inside his paper bag, or in a corner.
Yes, the big guy is evil enough to corner his little brother. I have to say though--he's got some great battle strategies.

But right now, they still curl up together and sleep on their blankie with each other.

The Kittens Have Arrived!

Just home from the shelter!

Meet the newest members of the Pinto family: two adorable little red tabbies! Both males, one is bigger than the other, and they weigh under a pound.

Although I haven't chosen official names, I think I want to call this little guy (the smaller one) Dr. Tinycat. He takes in a lot, a very curious kitty. He pokes his head outside of the box, and sniffs the food and toys before his brother, even if the Doctor takes longer before he plays with them.

Dr. Tinycat surveys his surroundings.

The other guy, a bigger one, is more playful, and the first one I saw when I peeked into the box at the Department of animal services. We'll call him Biggie, Big, the big one, or something that isnot Dr. Tinycat. He was the first to attack the feather teaser. Biggie usually dominates the toys over his brother.

Biggie ready to pounce on teaser!
And mom still doesn't know they're home...
